Practical AI for plaintiff-side PI lawyers.

A weekly newsletter on using AI in personal injury practice without sanctions, hallucinations, or vendor hype.

Written by a Board Certified personal injury trial attorney in Texas. Focused on what actually works in trial prep, intake, discovery, and demand-package work — and what doesn’t.

What you’ll get

The newsletter exists because most legal-AI content is either vendor marketing or academic theory. This is neither.

  1. 01
How I’m actually using AI in practice. Concrete teardowns of where AI saves me hours in trial prep, demand packages, intake, and discovery review — and where it’s a trap.
  2. 02
Texas Opinion 705 and emerging ethics rules, decoded. Plain-English breakdowns of what new opinions and rules actually require, written by someone who has to comply with them.
  3. 03
Honest tool reviews. Real assessments of legal AI tools — what the demos hide, where the workflow breaks, and whether the price is justified.
  4. 04
Cases where AI went wrong. Sanctions opinions, fake-citation incidents, and disciplinary cases — what happened, what the rule was, what to do differently.

About

I’m a practicing personal injury attorney with more than 13 years of experience representing injured Texans. Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2019.

After Texas A&M (2007) and the University of Houston Law Center (2011), I spent eight years in the Rio Grande Valley before moving back to Dallas in 2021. I now focus on catastrophic injury, worksite injury, and wrongful death cases.

I’ve been using AI in personal injury practice for the past year — carefully, with client protection and Texas ethics rules as the floor. This newsletter is what I wish someone had written for me when I started.
